Why the price tag?
In this case the higher price tag means higher quality! Our memory foam pet beds are all handmade. Memory foam is more expensive than standard lower density foam and we only use the best materials. We use two layers of foam - 1 top layer of memory foam and 1 bottom layer of high density foam, which offers better support than lower density foam. We then add a waterpfroof cover and hand sew to finish. We then add the covers and apply the best quality zips and stitching and then use an overlocker which creates a finished seam that will not fray or come apart easily.

All prices include postage, packing and VAT. See the reviews/testimonials at the bottom of this page.

What does the mattress consist of?
Top quality memory foam which gives ultimate support for small and large pets.

For the largest beds this means 3 inches of memory foam as a top layer and 3 inches of high density foam on the bottom layer for added support.

The thickness of the pet mattress changes depending on the size ordered, so the smallest bed has a 2 inch top layer and 2 inch bottom layer.

Why orthopedic dog beds? - Take a look at this article to see why memory foam is great for pets.

Cover fabric - Polar fleece, polyester, soft

Lining of mattress and bolster cushion - we add a water resistant polyester cover to the foam mattresses before we add your choice of fleece cover. You can just see it on the red bed image above when the zip is undone.

The main mattress and bolster are also covered in a water resistant fabric for added protection. This makes it a versatile choice. The memory foam and high density foam combination totals 4-6 inches of depth. The memory foam part (top layer) is 2-3 inches deep (2 inches on the x small bed as dogs using this bed don't need quite as much support) and it also has a 2-3 inch high density foam bottom layer. The bottom foam layer is 3 inches on the large and x large beds. These are memory foam pet beds, which are made to last and are of the highest quality! This supportive and comfort layer mean they have great orthopedic qualities.

But don't take our word for it. See the customer reviews below!

Is memory foam worth it? January 4, 2014
Reviewer: Tina Cowie from Falmouth, Cornwall, UK
We did wonder if memory foam was worth it and there is a lot of false hype around the very high end beds on the market. We eventually went for a company in the UK who don't mass produce their beds. We are glad we chose snugglezzz. We actually bought this for our cat and added a heat mat we bought from this company two months earlier. So we now have a memory foam bed which also doubles up as a heated bed when the cat needs it. She is getting on a bit and I have to say she absolutely loves this bed. I don't get enthusiastic about stuff very often (except for shoes, of course) but I am telling people about this lot. Very good indeed!

Seriously good November 23, 2013
Reviewer: Kim Carlisle from Kent, United Kingdom
I did wonder about these. My husband told me not to spend the money but they are worth every penny. Our girl is always on it now and the old bed is just left there. It must be cosy!

Found my husband on it October 10, 2013
Reviewer: Samantha Rice from Stowmarket, Suffolk United Kingdom
Seriously, we had this delivered last week for our big Newfoundland and after a night out I found my husband asleep on it. It had been out of the wrapper 24 hours and it is now being shared! Seriously good dog beds. Very well made and the memory foam is a high density so very supportive. We looked at others and they were actually too soft and too thin so we asked for advice before purchasing. This is superb!

More alive in the mornings September 4, 2013
Reviewer: Rob Sullivan from Stoke on trent, UK
Tia just relaxes on this bed. I can't explain what is different about her but when I get her breakfast she seems less stiff and more alive in the mornings. I was not really convinced by memory foam until the wife told me about them. Just another luxury item for dogs I thought. But these are handmade and look fantastic. They work on a practical level as well!
